L'utilisation du drapeau arc-en-ciel – symbole mondial des mouvements de soutien aux droits des personnes lesbiennes, gays, bisexuelles et transgenres – par les ambassades et organes représentatifs d'États accréditants sur le territoire de certains États accréditaires constitue un phénomène nouveau dans la pratique diplomatique contemporaine. Notre étude se focalisera sur la communication diplomatique en s'intéressant aux objectifs des États accréditants affichant un drapeau arc-en-ciel ainsi qu'aux destinataires visés et aux raisons ayant motivé ce choix de communication. The display of the rainbow flag – the international symbol of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender social movements – by the embassies and representative bodies of sending states on the territory of certain receiving states is a new phenomenon in contemporary diplomatic practice. This study focuses on diplomatic communication, exploring the objectives of sending states that choose to make use of the rainbow flag, along with the question of its intended audience and the reasons that motivate this communication choice.
