Mies van der Rohe a construit, avec la maison Farnsworth, le premier bâtiment transparent de l'histoire. Mais comment vivre là-dedans ? Bâtiment voué à l'échec, mi(e)s-conceived ? La transparence, le brouillage entre les espaces privé et public, obligent sa dédicataire et première résidente, Miss Farnsworth, à lutter avec l'architecture, à l'investir sans lui céder, selon des parcours de subjectivation de genre et d'orientation sexuelle périlleux. Abstract
With the Farnsworth house, Mies van der constructed the first transparent building in history. But how could you live in it? Is it a building doomed to failure, mi(e)s-conceived ? Transparency, the blur blurring of public and private spaces, forced the inaugural resident, Miss Farnsworth, to struggle with the architecture, to inhabit it without giving into it, following risky paths through the subjectivation of gender and sexual orientation.
