Depuis la fin des années 1980, l'État a réinstauré le marché immobilier. Ce marché lucratif et spéculatif crée une nouvelle hiérarchie dans la classe au pouvoir. L'espace public urbain a été fortement réduit. L'espace commercial a fortement augmenté, ainsi que l'espace d'habitat qui mixte commerces et logements dans des cités fermées à l'homogénéité sociale garantie par le prix. Il en résulte un ethos citadin caractérisé par la lassitude et la soumission. Les publicités immobilières montrent que ce sont les promoteurs qui maintenant gouvernent la vie. Urbanism and the new Trinity Since the end of the 1980s, the State has reintroduced a market-based real estate sector, which has generated profit, speculation and a new hierarchy among the ruling classes. Public space has been reduced, commercial space increased, as well as the socially homogeneous areas, with a high price tag filtering access, where housing coexists with shopping spaces.
