Résumé. - Dans la tradition géographique française, le terrain a toujours constitué un des temps forts de l'étude, particulièrement quand il s'agit de monographies régionales. Visiter le terrain ne s'improvise pas, mais se prépare scrupuleusement. Au final, l'investigation procure des enseignements qu'aucune autre démarche ne permet d'acquérir. Malgré les nouvelles technologies de l'information, le terrain demeure indispensable et a encore, selon nous, de beaux jours devant lui. Source : Éditeur (via Persée) |

Abstract. - In France since the beginning of scientific studies in geography, investigations above the landscapes and land-uses were the main subject of the authors. To come and visit a small region needs many knowledges and at the end gives informations which are not available from other means of searching.
