Malgré la « standardisation » littéraire et politique relativement exceptionnelle des œuvres réalistes socialistes, leur circulation internationale se fait d'une manière quantitativement et qualitativement contrastée. L'intensité des flux de traduction de ces œuvres dépend ainsi de la position qu'occupent les littératures et les pays « source » et « cible », à la fois dans l'espace littéraire international et dans le système des relations politiques internationales. Alors que l'importation du canon réaliste socialiste se fait depuis l'Union soviétique, les pays du bloc de l'Est, satellisés à la fois d'un point de vue littéraire et politique, occupent une position dominée indépendamment de l'échelle de circulation de leurs œuvres réalistes socialistes. Si le xxe Congrès du PCUS de 1956 ne modifie pas cette hiérarchie, il bouleverse cependant les conditions politiques de production, diffusion et réception du réalisme socialiste. In spite of the rather exceptional literary and political « standardisation » of the socialist-realistic works, their international circulation operated, in a both quantitative and qualitative contrasted way. The intensity of the flows of translation of these works thus depended on the position occupied by the literature and the « source » and « target » countries, both within the international literary space and within the system of international political relations. When the importation of the socialist-realistic canon was carried out from the Soviet Union, East-European countries – satellized in a literary as well as a political point of view – held a position dominated independently from the scale of circulation of their socialist-realistic works. If the twentieth Convention of the PCUS in 1956 didn't modify this hierarchy, it disrupted however the political conditions of production, distribution and reception of socialist realism.
