| Résumé anglais | The major beginnings of Europe. The Marshall Plan (1947) and aid to East Europe (1990), Gérard Bossuat. The article compares the contexts of Marshall aid to devastated Europe to the aid now granted to the Eastern countries currently in disarray. It questions the nature of assistance, the conditions under which it was granted, the purposes of both donors and beneficiaries. It concludes that there are similarities between 1947 and 1990, but that assistance is not presently in the service of ambitions and plans clearly formulated and massively shared by both sides. | |
