| Résumé anglais | The Evian agreements (1962), Charles-Kobert Ageron. The Evian agreements ended the Algerian War. They are still, 30 years later, a subject of dispute. This article proposes a detailed and serene description of the negotiations and then shows their content. The author also analyzes the two wagers which they meant. The first one, that of on eventual reconciliation between communities in an independant Algeria, was lost when the OAS and the FLN fomented insecurity in the second half of 1962. The second wager was that of cooperation between France and Algeria, which held better than generally accorded. | |
