Résumé anglais |
The Body Artist is one of Don De Lillo most peculiar novel. Staying at her sea house, a grieving widow encounters a strange being, whose very reality remains uncertain. Based on the importance of the theme of networks in DeLillo's work, this paper relies on communication theories in order to offer an analysis modelled around the notion of cybercorporeality. Consequently, the figure of the cyborg illustrates the unresolved status of the being in this novel. Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |
