Résumé anglais | A Socialist Republican party really existed, Yves Billard. The Socialist Republican party was founded in 1911 by dissident reformist socialists (Briand, Millerand, Augagneur). It had up to 9.000 members in 35 departments and considered itself to the right of the SFIO-socialists and to the left of the radicals. But the structural conflict between elected officials and the military, the pragmatic and the doctrinary, gave it a chaotic existence. | |
