Cet article examine divers textes du courant transhumaniste portant spécifiquement sur la question de la médecine, pour montrer qu'ils relèvent du paradigme de la « santé parfaite », et plus largement du biopouvoir. Dans ce mouvement, le corps devient le support d'un gouvernement de soi passant par la technique pour lutter contre un destin somatique jugé inacceptable. Étudié à nouveaux frais, ce transhumanisme apparaît comme une utopie réaliste, ou au moins raisonnable, où les technologies seraient au service du soin. Loin de la réception exclusivement critique dont elle fait l'objet en France, la dimension médicale du transhumanisme relève finalement du souci de soi et de la recherche d'un « bonheur biologique ». This paper reads several transhumanist papers that focus on the medical issue, in order to show that they belong to the “perfect health” paradigm, and more largely to the biopower. In this logic, the body becomes the support on which the government of the self is based. It's channeling by the technology to fight against an inacceptable somatic fate. In this perspective, this branch of the transhumanism appears to be a realistic utopia, or at least reasonable, where technologies serve the care. Far for its French unanimous critic reception, the medical dimension of the transhumanismis is finally a kind of “care of the self” and the pursuit of a “biological happiness”.
