Le patriotisme fichtéen prend son sens concret dans l'articulation rationnelle de l'État, de la nation et de la patrie. D'une part, la patrie fonde l'être de la nation et, à travers celle-ci, de l'État. Mais, d'autre part, l'État conditionne l'existence de la nation et, à travers celle-ci, de la patrie. Par la réhabilitation qu'elle opère ainsi, notamment de la nation, moyen terme des deux séquences, la doctrine de Fichte a une valeur exemplaire pour notre époque, tentée par l'idéologisme sectaire. Patriotism in the tradition of Johann Fichte finds its concrete form in the rational linking between State, Nation and Country. On the one hand, Country is the foundation of the being of the Nation, and, through the latter, of the State. But, on the other hand, the State conditions the existence of the Nation and, through the latter, of Country. Thanks to the reinstatement effected by Fichte's doctrine, notably that of the Nation, the intermediate term between two sequences, it can serve as an example for our age, tempted as it is by sectarian ideologism.
