Les résultats de l'élection présidentielle américaine de novembre 2020 sont très incertains. Si Donald Trump est réélu, il mènera sans doute une politique étrangère conforme à celle de son premier mandat. En cas de victoire démocrate, on assisterait en partie à un retour aux fondamentaux de la diplomatie de Barack Obama. La confrontation sino-américaine sera sûrement le sujet central de ces prochaines années. Sur ce dossier, les Démocrates ne renieraient pas totalement l'héritage de Trump. The results of the US presidential election in November 2020 are very uncertain. If Donald Trump is re-elected, he is likely to pursue a foreign policy consistent with that of his first term. In the event of a Democratic victory, we would see a partial return to the fundamentals of Barack Obama's diplomacy. The Sino-American confrontation will undoubtedly be the central issue of the next few years. On this matter, the Democrats would not totally abandon Trump's legacy.
