The purpose of this paper is to reflect –through a panoramic view– the ideological, political and social implications that represents geography (rural or urban). The goal is not to do an author (or authors) study but to highlight the trends in the construction of landscapes to determine what kind of understandings are proposed –at various periods and through different interpretation– about the Central American world.
