Résumé anglais Summary. — The region of Sospel shows a very complicated structural evolution with thrusts and pseudo-diapiric extrusions breaking off folded series. The crests and the escarpements are partially of structural nature for dissection is important, lithology being few contrasted. Drainage pattern, since Miocene, has been profondly modified by tectonics whose last effects are of quaternary age. Excaved in triasic gypsum, between two narrow gorges tranched in limestone, the bassin is partially filled with thick alluvial accumulations of climatic origine. Slope wasting and debris are correlated with these bioclimatic fluctuations and the actual anthropic modifications of slopes are examined in fine.
