Summary. — Winter resorts among which there are integrated resorts are the transcription of a myth in a certain environment : this is a coherent saying, the objectivity of which recovers a certain number of signs which almost everybody or at least a part of the population agree. Here we propose a new vision of the environment of the resort, an approch which relates the representation of the resort such as it is officially laid out, the potential behaviour of every tourist affected by the advertisements and the actual organization of the environment within the resort. But beyond this specific example of integrated resorts, it can give an enlightenment to the practive of winter sports. In fact this practive is perceived not only under a strictly economic angle but also as a consumption of signs by a determined social class ; these signs organize themselves into a system within the mythology which directly reacts on the organization of the high-moutain environment.
