Résumé anglais Abstract. — Chemical analyses were performed on different types of ice sampled in the Forbes' ogives of the Tsijiore Nouve glacier (Swiss Alps). They add some lights to the theory of ogive formation. The contrast beetween dark and light bands which is obvious in appearance also exists if we compare the chemical content of the ice in major cations. However, the chemical contrast is stronger beetween bubbly and bubble-free ice of the ribboned structure forming both parts of the ogives.
