L'analyse du mouvement occitan est doublement menacée selon l'auteur — soit par les approches en termes de passage d'un état politique, culturel , économique , à un autre, dans le contexte de crise du capitalisme (et dans ce cas , seule la référence au mouvement ouvrier peut lui conférer le statut de mouvement social ) — soit par celles , proches du discours occitan lui-même , qui considèrent ce mouvement comme la défense d'une culture et d'un état de nature contre l'emprise croissante du capitalisme technocratique.
L'auteur, s'inspirant des concepts d'A. Touraine (opposition , identité , totalité) tente de rendre compte des diverses dimensions du mouvement (économique, institutionnelle , culturelle) tout en soulignant sa fragilité, comme «mouvement social éclaté ». Source : Éditeur (via Persée) |

The analysis of the " Occitan " movement is threatened in two ways, according to the writer, — either by the approaches in terms of transition from a political, cultural, economic state to another, in the context of capitalism crisis (and, in this case, only referring to the workers' movement can grant it the status of a social movement) — or by those, next to the " Occitan " theory itself, which consider this movement as the defence of a culture and state of nature against the increasing grasp of technocratic capitalism.
