Le numérique a contribué à booster la production cinématographique dans des pays africains comme le Burkina Faso où elle avait fortement baissé à la fin des années 1990. De manière générale, la digitalisation dans le secteur du cinéma a engendré des apports multiformes dans différentes branches de cette filière. Ce qui nous a conduit à l'interrogation suivante : au vu des opportunités que le digital offre pour la redynamisation des différents maillons du cinéma, quelles sont les incidences de l'usage du numérique dans la chaîne cinématographique burkinabè ? Après avoir examiné les différentes branches de la filière cinématographique burkinabè, il ressort de ce travail que l'avantage principal du digital pour ce cinéma est qu'il a engendré des économies significatives dans le processus de production. Notons aussi que les maillons de la distribution et de l'exploitation en salles ont aussi été impactés par l'usage du numérique dans le cinéma. Mais on peut remarquer que le secteur de la production est celui où il y a eu les principaux avantages. Concernant les deux autres maillons, l'effet du numérique a parfois engendré des problèmes comme le piratage qui touche à la fois la distribution et l'exploitation en salles. En outre, la majorité des salles de cinéma burkinabè ne diffusent plus de films internationaux, faute d'équipements en numérique pour répondre aux exigences des standards internationaux. Digital technology has helped boost film production in African countries such as Burkina Faso, where it had fallen sharply at the end of the 1990s. In general, digitization in the film sector has generated multifaceted contributions in different branches of this sector. Faculty. Which led us to the following question: in view of the opportunities that digital offers for the revitalization of the different links of the cinema, we ask ourselves the question of what are the consequences of the use of digital in the Burkinabè cinema chain? After examining the different branches of the Burkinabè film industry, it emerges from this work that the main advantage of digital for Burkinabè cinema is that it has generated significant savings in the production process. It should also be noted that the links in distribution and theatrical exhibition have also been impacted by the use of digital technology in cinema. But we can notice that the production sector is where there have been the main advantages. Regarding the other two links, the effect of digital technology has at times given rise to problems such as piracy which affects both distribution and theatrical exploitation. In addition, the majority of Burkinabè cinemas no longer show international films, due to a lack of digital equipment to meet the requirements of international standards.
