L'objectif du présent article est de réfléchir au rôle joué par l'habit monastique dans la construction de la moniale, voire dans la « reconstruction » qui accompagne la déconstruction du sujet laïc, cela à partir d'observations réalisées au cours d'un terrain ethnographique au sein du monastère orthodoxe féminin de Solan. La relation entre l'habit et la sœur sera analysée dans sa dimension symbolique, quotidienne, esthétique, matérielle et concrète. La prise en compte de ces aspects permettra de saisir la manière dont l'habit-symbole et l'habit-matière agissent quotidiennement sur le sujet en contribuant à le reconstruire en tant que sujet monacal. The objective of this article is to reflect on the role played by the monastic habit in the construction of the nun, or rather the reconstruction that accompanies the deconstruction of the secular subject. This has been based on observations and field experience carried out within the Orthodox women's monastery of Solan. The relationship between the habit and the nun will be analysed from symbolic, everyday, aesthetic, material and concrete perspectives. Taking into account these aspects will enable us to grasp the way in which the habit as a symbol and the habit as material act daily on the subject, helping to reconstruct her as a monastic subject.
