À l'heure actuelle, de nombreux discours promeuvent l'empowerment des personnes déficientes intellectuelles, les encouragent à participer activement à tous les aspects de leur vie. Qu'en est-il de leur implication réelle au sein des dispositifs, au-delà de la participation ? Nous nous centrerons sur leur implication dans la recherche en sciences sociales et montrerons comment notre recherche se distingue de la pratique habituelle. Nous nous intéresserons à l'oppression de ces personnes et à l'évolution ces dernières années. Nous montrerons pourquoi notre projet permet un changement dans l'ordre social existant avant d'y poser un regard critique en identifiant les limites et les freins. Presently, there is a lot of discussion to promote empowering people with intellectual disabilities, which aims to allow people to participate more actively in their lives. What about their real implication in various structures, which could go further than participation ? We will focus on their implication within the structure of social science research and will show how our research goes against common research practices. We will consider issues of oppression of this population and how this has evolved in recent years. We will demonstrate why our project allows a change in the social order which currently exists.
