Lors de la COP26, Pékin et l'administration Biden se sont engagés à raviver la coopération sino-américaine sur le climat, au nom de leur intérêt commun à préserver sa stabilité. La tentative d'isoler cette question des nombreux différends qui opposent la Chine et les États-Unis a pourtant de maigres chances d'aboutir. Les deux plus grands émetteurs mondiaux devront améliorer le cadre général de leur relation bilatérale pour pouvoir, ensuite, collaborer étroitement et efficacement sur le climat. During COP26, Beijing and the Biden administration committed to reviving Sino-American cooperation on climate issues, in the name of their common interest in climate stability. However, their attempt to isolate this question from the numerous disagreements between China and the United States has a slim chance of success.
