À travers une enquête sur un atelier de djembé partagé entre personnes dites « handicapées » et personnes dites « valides », l'article interroge l'inclusion dans un cadre très local, en étudiant les conditions de cette pratique commune constituée autour de deux enjeux initiaux potentiellement contradictoires : la synchronisation rythmique et la synchronisation sociale. L'observation ethnographique conduit à formuler l'hypothèse d'un espace hétérotopique, un monde social qui se distingue de l'espace courant dans son organisation, ses règles et ses modes de domination. Le sentiment de singularité de l'expérience vécue apparaît alors comme une composante essentielle de l'investissement des participants dans cet atelier. Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |

Inclusion and heterotopia: monography of a djembe workshop performed in mixity Through a research on a djembé workshop shared between disabled and non-disabled persons, this article is questioning inclusion in a very local venue and context by studying conditions of this shared practice built on two potentially contradictory principles: rhythm synchronization and social synchronization. Ethnographic observation leads to formulate the hypothesis of an heterotopia space as a social world that differs from common space in its organisation, its rules and its modes of domination.
