This article focuses on the trans-inclusive practice of stating one's pronoun(s) during activist meetings in the United States, thus challenging the gender binary. Using ethnographic data, it shows how these moments of enunciation exemplify the current dynamics and issues of contemporary activist groups, their relationship to identity and subjectivity, and the links between the personal and the collective.
