Cet article propose un questionnement éthique du numérique à partir de la dimension écologique. Pour ce faire, nous avançons l'hypothèse d'une force heuristique de l'approche des sciences de l'information et de la communication (SIC) en élaborant le « paradigme écologique », conçu ici à un double niveau : d'une part, la dimension écologique à l'épreuve de laquelle est soumis désormais le numérique. C'est l'avènement de ce que nous désignons par « l'hyperbien écologique »; d'autre part, l'approche des SIC appréhendée comme une épistémologie de nature écologique. En examinant les formulations et la circulation sociale du questionnement écologique du numérique dans l'espace public français (médiatique et culture- artistique), notre travail entend apporter une réflexion structurante en articulant le numérique, l'éthique et l'écologie. Ainsi, tout en participant aux débats publics sur la question écologique du numérique, notre investigation ambitionne de poursuivre, à nouveaux frais, les discussions de fond sur l'épistémisation des SIC. This article proposes an ethical questioning of digital technology from the ecological perspective. For that purpose, we put forward the hypothesis of a heuristic force of the approach of information and communication sciences by elaborating an “ecological paradigm”, conceived here on two levels: on the one hand, the ecological dimension, to which digital technology is henceforth submitted and evaluated. It is the advent of what we call “ecological hypergood”; on the other hand, the epistemology of information and communication sciences apprehended as of ecological nature. By examining the formulations and the social circulation of the ecological questioning of digital technology in the French public sphere (media and cultural-artistic field), our work aims to contribute a structuring reflection by articulating digital technology, ethics and ecology. Thus, while participating in public debates on the ecological question of digital technology, our investigation is an attempt to continue anew the fundamental discussions on the epistemization of the discipline of information-communication sciences.
