La généralisation européenne, depuis le début du nouveau millénaire, d'un modèle de « cours d'intégration » obligatoires et à destination de tout adulte ressortissant de pays tiers et candidat à l'installation, renouvelle le visage de l'administration de l'immigration régulière. En revenant sur la généalogie néerlandaise de ce dispositif migratoire et le corpus théorique lui étant associé, cet article analyse sa mise en œuvre concrète en France et en Allemagne, par une immersion ethnographique questionnant l'expérience subjective qu'en font les participants. The continental generalization, since the beginning of the new millennium, of a mandatory “integration courses” scheme addressing all third country national adults who are candidate to sedentarization, seems to renew the work of legal immigration administration. By going back over the Dutch genealogy of this migratory device and the theoretical corpus associated with it, this article analyzes its concrete implementation in France and Germany, through an ethnographic immersion that questions the subjective experience of the participants.
