La consigne « restez chez vous » entendue lors du confinement sanitaire de mars à mai 2020 repose sur une représentation statique du « chez-soi ». Cela éclaire par contraste le travail à l'œuvre dans les habitats participatifs dans lesquels le chez-soi renvoie d'une part à la cellule domestique du ménage dans son logement, mais aussi au groupe habitant, constitué en tant que cellule domestique à part entière. Rendre compte de ce type d'expérience permet de documenter la manière dont les habitants peuvent travailler leurs manières d'habiter, et en particulier configurer diversement leurs rapports de voisinage et de cohabitation. The “stay at home” advice heard during the pandemic lockdown between March and May 2020 assumes a static representation of “home”. By contrast, this sheds light on the work underway in participatory habitats where “home” refers both to the domestic unit of the household in its dwelling, but also to the resident group, constituted as a domestic unit in its own right. In describing this type of experience, we are able to document how residents can work on the ways they live, and in particular explore different configurations in their relations to neighbours and those they live with.
