Les accidents nucléaires de Tchernobyl et de Fukushima ont donné lieu à des interprétations que nous proposons de décrypter au prisme des conceptions du temps. Selon l'hypothèse soutenue, la question du rapport au temps se révèle essentielle pour saisir le sens accordé à ces catastrophes. En Occident, Tchernobyl et Fukushima ont suscité des constructions imaginaires qui renvoient à une conception linéaire du temps. Au Japon, l'interprétation de Fukushima s'inscrit en partie dans cette temporalité, sans pour autant épuiser l'imaginaire temporel dans lequel est saisie la catastrophe, qui s'ouvre sur une idée de renaissance, se référant ainsi à une conception cyclique du temps. The nuclear accidents of Chernobyl and Fukushima have given rise to interpretations that this article proposes to decipher through the prism of conceptions of time. According to the hypothesis, the question of the relationship to time is essential to understand the meaning of these catastrophes. In the West, Chernobyl and Fukushima have produced imaginary constructions that refer to a linear conception of time. In Japan, the interpretation of Fukushima is partly inscribed in this temporality, without exhausting the temporal imaginary in which the catastrophe is captured, which opens on an idea of rebirth, thus referring to a cyclical conception of time.
