The Serjeant at Arms of the House of Commons.
The Serjeant at Arms' functions go back to the XVth century and are essential to the good functionning of the House of Commons. The Serjeant at Arms is still appointed by the Crown, but acts to enforce the House's orders under control of the Speaker.
