En sciences de l'éducation et de la formation, la production de connaissances ouvre différentes possibilités dans la relation entre le chercheur et son objet. Certaines possibilités sont centrées sur la neutralité du chercheur, sur la manière de garantir un processus dans lequel l'objet est contrôlé et isolé. D'autres formes de production de connaissances n'opèrent pas selon le cadre de la division paradigmatique sujet-objet ; au contraire, elles opèrent dans la perspective de la constitution du sujet chercheur dans le monde, avec l'objet. Dans cette perspective, l'implication est intrinsèque à la production de connaissances, le chercheur in mundo s'enchevêtre, se mêle, est impliqué dans le processus de recherche en tant qu'il délimite l'objet d'étude. En agissant sur le terrain, il est lui-même susceptible d'être affecté, ce qui le conduit à faire des choix guidés par les rencontres. Dans le champ de la santé et de l'éducation permanente, considérer le chercheur in mundo peut favoriser la compréhension du travail et notamment des processus éducatifs des adultes malades. In education and training sciences, the production of knowledge opens up different possibilities in the relationship between the researcher and his object. Some possibilities focus on the researcher's neutrality, on how to guarantee a process in which the object is controlled and isolated. Other forms of knowledge production do not operate within the framework of the paradigmatic subjectobject division; on the contrary, they operate from the perspective of the constitution of the researcher subject in the world, with the object. From this perspective, involvement is intrinsic to the production of knowledge, and the researcher in mundo becomes entangled, mingled, and involved in the research process insofar as he or she delimits the object of study. By acting in the field, they are themselves likely to be affected, which leads them to make choices guided by their encounters. In the field of health and lifelong learning, considering the researcher in mundo can help us to understand the work and, in particular, the educational processes of adults who are ill.
