À partir de la polémique entre Enzo Traverso et Georges Didi-Huberman autour des notions de révolution et de soulèvement, cet article propose une réflexion sur les dimensions constituées et constituantes de la démocratie. La controverse initiale entre ces deux auteurs se développe à partir des travaux de Antonio Negri, d'une part, sur le souffle d'une joie créatrice et, d'autre part, sur la notion de pouvoir constituant. Ce débat théorique est ensuite confronté avec les expériences concrètes des moments constituants qui ont caractérisé certains gouvernements dits progressistes en Amérique Latine (notamment le Venezuela) et avec l'émergence subversive du fascisme au Capitole américain et à Brasília. L'article propose enfin comme sortie des impasses les dynamiques instituantes et le retour de Carlo Ginzburg sur les rapports entre histoire et changements. Source : Éditeur (via Cairn.info) |

Based on the controversy between Enzo Traverso and Georges Didi-Huberman over the notions of revolution and uprising, this article reflects on the constitutive dimensions of democracy. The initial controversy between these two authors developed from Antonio Negri's work, on the one hand, on the creative breath of a creative joy and, on the other, on the notion of constituent power. This theoretical debate is then confronted with the concrete experiences of constituent moments that have characterized certain so-called progressive governments in Latin America (notably Venezuela) and the subversive emergence of fascism on Capitol Hill and in Brasília.
