Dans cet article, le concept « postcolonial » dans ses différentes graphies (trait d'union, slash, agglutination) est examiné pour ensuite définir en quoi consisterait une approche postcoloniale d'une œuvre littéraire. Le lien avec la « francophonie » est débattu, en même temps que la question de l'engagement. À partir de l'évidence d'un engagement politique à l'heure des indépendances et dans l'immédiat « post-colonial », les auteurs des ex-colonies évoluent entre posture et imposture, négociant leur place entre le spécifique et l'universel, entre le « local » et le « global ». In this paper, the “postcolonial” concept in its various written forms (hyphen, slash or agglutination) is examined in order to then define what constitutes a postcolonial approach in a literary work. The connection with the French-speaking world is debated, at the same time as the question of commitment. Based on the evidence of a political commitment at the time of independences and in the immediate “post-colonial” aftermath, authors from former colonies evolve between posture and imposture, negotiating their place between the specific and the universal, the “local” and “global”.
