The effects of tourism on development Tourism has strongly contributed to the economic growth of developing countries during these past years but is it a factor of development ? An initial response needs to identify the different forms of tourism and the dynamics of global tourism in the « post-September 1 1 » context. Indeed, tourism appears to be a simple way of accumulating wealth, but the analysis of the concomitant risks provides some paths to reflection on ensuring that it does not become a factor of imbalances.
