Fétichisme du nom, échanges affectifs intra-familiaux et affinités électives.
Une sociologisation des hypothèses de Freud et de Stekel sur l'existence de choix d'objet incestueux ayant pour support un nom avait permis de montrer que les désirs inconscients tels qu'ils sont structurés par les rapports sociaux tournent systématiquement l'impératif de l'échange et les interdits portant sur l'inceste. Tout indique que ces hypothèses sont pertinentes dans un grand nombre de sociétés, y compris la nôtre, et qu'elles peuvent s'appliquer tant aux choix amoureux qu'aux choix amicaux et plus généralement à tous les choix de partenaires qui comportent un minimum d'investissement affectif. C'est ce que l'on a voulu montrer d'une part à travers l'étude des choix amoureux ou amicaux des auteurs tels que Freud, Balzac, Rousseau, d'autre part à travers l'analyse statistique des choix matrimoniaux effectués dans des familles de la bourgeoisie du Nord de la France qui permet, semble-t-il, de découvrir quelques lois de l'économie des échanges affectifs intra-familiaux. Name Fetishism, Intra-Familial Affective Exchanges and Elective Affinities.
A sociologization of the hypotheses of Freud and Stekel on the existence of choices of incestuous object based on a name made it possible to show, with respect to matrimonial choices on the Greek island of Karpathos, that unconscious desires, as structured by social relations, systematically revolve a round the imperative of exchange and incest taboos. Everything suggests that these hypotheses are pertinent in a large number of societies, including our own, and that they can be applied to choices in love and friendship and more generally to all choices of partners which imply any degree of emotional investment. This article seeks to demonstrate this, on the one hand through a study of the choices in love or friendship of authors such as Freud, Balzac and Rousseau, and on the other hand through statistical analysis of matrimonial choices in families in the bourgeoisie in northern France, which seems to make it possible to discover some laws of the economy of intra-familial affective exchanges.
