« Le Vatican aussi a ses dissidents » titrait récemment L'Unité, l'hebdomadaire confidentiel du Parti socialiste. Toute la presse a parlé de la théologie de la libération. Pourquoi ? Parce que la querelle n'est pas seulement théologique et interne l'Eglise. Il as'git de définir la place du Christ et le rôle du peuple de Dieu, de l'Eglise, dans la libération des hommes. C'est un débat théologico-politique qui se développe principalement dans la très chrétienne Amérique latine. Une véritable poudrière, ce qui explique les pas de clerc et l'inquiétude romaine. Theology of Liberation and Realpolitik, by Claude-François Jullien
A recent article in L'Unité, the confidential weekly magazine of the Socialist Party, was entitled « The Vatican also has its Dissidents ». The theology of libération has also been widely discussed in the press as a whole. Why is this ? The reason is that this quarrel is not only a theological one, confined to the Church. It involves defining the place of Christ, the role of God's people and ofthe Church in the libération ofman. It is both a theological and a political debate which is being conducted principally in the very Christian countries of Latin America.
