Le processus ayant conduit à uniformiser les tarifs domestiques de l'électricité constitue un objet politique stimulant en ce qu'il nous donne à voir la fabrique d'une solidarité nationale. S'inscrivant dans une perspective sociohistorique, cet article en retrace le cours, de l'entre-deux-guerres au début des années 1990. Il met en évidence le rôle éminent qu'y ont joué l'État et le monde rural. Il pointe tout particulièrement en quoi ce dernier a exercé une influence décisive non pas au travers du Parlement ou des jeux organisant le système politico-administratif local, mais par l'entremise d'une association d'élus, nous invitant par là même à porter un regard plus attentif à cette composante du système politique dans la structuration de la société française. The process having led to unify the domestic price rates of the electricity establishes a political object stimulating in what it gives us to see the making of a national solidarity. Joining a social-historical perspective, this article redraws it of the interwar period at the beginning of 1990s. It brings to light the eminent role that played the State and the rural world. It clocks quite particularly in what this last one exercised a decisive influence not through the Parliament or the games organizing the local politico-administrative system, but by the intervention of an association of elected representatives, inviting us there even to have a more attentive glance to this constituent of the political system in the construction of the French society.
