Résumé political judgments for a long time, reducing them to an often one-dimensional construction. This article reconsiders what this work has brought, with a question that acts as the main idea : how can a political experience become a symbol and thus an agent of socialization in and of itself ? In the last few years, stimulating answers have been given to this question, at the inter­section of the problematics, concepts and stakes for each of the major study traditions that orga­nize the understanding of political socialization. This leads to an invitation to widen the usual definition of political socialization so as to better understand the way in which the junction between political events and the formation of attitudes occurs.
