Résumé anglais |
Jean Seguy : Sectarian non conformism in France.
The author examines the state of research on non-conformism of protestant origin in France. He endeavors to seize the phenomenon statistically (about 100,000 sects existing at the present time) and to establish its geographical implantaient. He then explains the difficulties arising from a sociological interpretation based on meager materials of questionnable scientific value. The appearance in France, mainly after 1945, of a new form of non-conformist religious life and its relative success are facts to be retained until further inquiries can be made.
