Janina Markiewicz-Lagneau : Florian Znaniecki, sociologue de l'action sociale et de la méthode analytique.
L'article se donne pour objectif moins de présenter la totalité de l'œuvre de Znaniecki que de dégager à travers celle-ci la démarche particulière de sociologue. Cette dernière s'inscrit dans ce qu'on appelle la sociologie humaniste, en suivant une méthode de type analytique. On s'intéresse moins ici aux résultats obtenus qu'à l'itinéraire parcouru : l'œuvre de Znaniecki va de la philosophie à la sociologie, de la Pologne aux États-Unis, et de la sociologie appliquée et engagée à la construction d'un système de valeurs. Cet itinéraire permet de dégager la partie de son œuvre, qui se construit à partir d'une double opposition, d'une part, entre les traditions sociologiques de l'Europe et de l'Amérique et, d'autre part, entre la théorie et la pratique. Janina Markiewicz-Lagneau : Florian Znaniecki, sociologist of the social action and analytical method.
Rather than presenting the complete works of Znaniecki, this article attempts to bring out the sociologist's particular approach, which through its use of an analytical method establishes him in the tradition of what is called humanist sociology. The itinerary is of greater interest than the results obtained : Znaniecki's work goes from philosophy to sociology, from Poland to the United States, and from an applied and commited sociology to the construction of a system of values. This itinerary enables the A to isolate that part of his work which is built on the basis of a double opposition, on the one hand between the European and American sociological traditions and on the other hand between theory and practice.
