L'exemple de l'enseignement supérieur de l'informatique à Toulouse et de ses articulations aux activités locales de haute technologie permet d'interroger la notion de technopole telle qu'elle est définie par les économistes et de mettre en lumière les effets structurants que peut avoir un pôle régional d'enseignement supérieur sur une zone de ce type. Dans l'exemple étudié, l'articulation entre la sphère d'enseignement supérieur et l'activité industrielle de haute technologie fait intervenir des logiques d'action, tant institutionnelles qu'individuelles, contribuant à constituer un système socialisé dépassant la simple logique de l'échange (transferts de technologie, marché du travail) et justifiant une analyse de type sociologique. Michel Grossetti : Advanced education and technocentres. Computer technology in Toulouse.
Taking the example of advanced education and computer technology in Toulouse and its interrelation with local business in the field of high technology, it would appear interesting to examine the notion of technocentres, as defined by economists, and to put forward the structurizing effects that an advanced educational regional centre of this type can have on the area. In this particular example, the interrelation between the advanced teaching sphere and high-tech industrial activity implies the intervention of action logic on an institutional and individual level in order to constitute a social system involving more than the simple exchange logic (technology transfer, job market) and which justifies sociologically-based analysis.
