Résumé anglais |
Peter Singer claims that human beings have at least a duty to be vegetarians, given their moral duty to maximise general utility. Tom Regan thinks that “subjects-of-a-life”, be they humans or animals, have the right to live and not to suffer damages, and our duty is to respect them. Steven Best and Mark Bernstein justify direct actions for the liberation of animals and economic sabotage in the name of legitimate defence and the just war doctrine.
