La négociation collective transnationale s'est développée dans la dernière décennie au sein d'un nombre croissant d'entreprises multinationales. Plus de soixante-dix accords-cadres ont été signés au niveau mondial et autant au niveau européen. Le secteur de l'automobile est à l'origine de deux innovations majeures dans le domaine de la négociation transnationale : l'évolution du rôle des CEE du droit d'information et de consultation vers la négociation d'accords de sauvegarde d'emploi et la création de comités mondiaux dans certaines firmes. Après avoir retracé l'évolution des stratégies syndicales aux niveaux mondial et européen, l'article analyse l'action des syndicats et des CEE dans cinq firmes de l'automobile et met en lumière l'importance de la coordination transnationale de l'action syndicale. Transnational Collective Bargaining and EWCs: European and Worldwide Agreements in the Automobile Sector. Transnational collective bargaining emerged in the last decade within a growing number of multinationals. More than seventy framework agreements were signed at the worldwide level and as many at the European level. The automobile sector is at the origin of two major innovations in the field of the transnational negotiations: the evolution of the role of EWCs from the right of information and consultation towards the negotiation of agreements to protect jobs and the setting up of world works councils in certain firms. After having recalled the evolution of the trade-union strategies at the international and European levels, the article analyzes the action of the trade unions and the EWCs in five auto firms and stresses the importance of the transnational coordination of trade union action.
