L'Organisation internationale de police criminelle, plus connue sous le nom d'INTERPOL, a conclu en 2008 avec la France un nouvel accord de siège qui renforce largement son statut et corrige les lacunes importantes du précédent accord conclu en 1982. Il règle notamment la question du remboursement de la TVA sur les opérations à caractère immobilier ainsi que celle de l'imposition des fonctionnaires d'INTERPOL selon la pratique dite du " taux effectif". Il apporte également une touche originale à la question du contrôle des fichiers de l'Organisation en ne faisant plus mention de la Commission de contrôle des fichiers, pleinement intégrée dans l'ordre juridique et institutionnel d'INTERPOL. The International Criminal Police Organization, better known as Interpol, concluded a new Headquarters Agreement with France in 2008 considerably enhancing its status and making good the major shortcomings in the previous Agreement concluded in 1982. It notably settles the questions of the VAT refund on property transactions and of the taxation of Interpol officials by the "effective rate" practice. It also brings an original touch to the question of the supervision of the Organization's files, by no longer mentioning the Commission for the Control of Interpol's Files, which is now fully integrated into its legal and institutional structure.
