| Résumé |
La question des identités culturelles et le développement d'un sentiment d'appartenance aux lieux accompagnent les redécoupages territoriaux, s'appuyant sur des actions culturelles symboliques. L'article examine quelques-unes de ces mises en scène culturelles en s'intéressant aux nouvelles distinctions et aux tensions qu'elles créent à partir de trois catégories d'exemples pris dans le Nord de la France : un exemple de stratégie d'image dans la dénomination des nouveaux espaces en construction et la mise en avant de lieux phares qui montre que le capital symbolique des lieux se construit dans des images à caractère performatif ; un exemple de débat public sur la mise en valeur du patrimoine minier qui obligent à redéfinir le territoire pour suivre ses évolutions ; des exemples de médiation dans le domaine de la création culturelle où la mémoire collective donne des perspectives d'avenir dans un cadre de participation des habitants au développement culturel. En réinvestissant un héritage commun dans des projets d'avenir, ces actions donnent à chaque acteur l'occasion de penser de façon critique l'identité et la sociabilité dont il est porteur, créant des tensions où la culture est appelée à jouer un rôle médiateur dans les processus de compréhension de l'environnement et de dynamisation sociale. The question of cultural identities and the expanding sense of belonging to places go tpgether with making boundary changes, depending on symbolic cultural actions. This article looks over some of theses cultural productions and goes through the new distinctions and tensions thus created taking into account three categories of examples based in the North of France. Number one is the strategical image in the denomination of new under-construction spaces and the forward placing of leading spots, which shows that the symbolic capital of places is built up through perfomative images. Number two is a public debate on how to set off the mining heritage, which leads to redefine the territory and thus to follow its evolution. Number three is about examples of mediation in the field of cultural creation where collective memory offers future prospects within the scope of the participation of the inhabitants in the cultural developement. By reinvesting a communal heritage in future projects, these actions give each actor the opportunity of having a critical meditation on the identity and the sociability he is carrying, creating tensions where culture is meant to act as a mediator between the processes of global understanding of the environment and of social stimulation.
