Résumé anglais Electronic journals arrived in libraries and information services, modifying professional practices and paving the way for the digital book, better known now as the E-Book. E-journals had a significant impact on how librarians dealt with the place of E documents in their information services, and influenced how both librarians and end-users perceived this new type of content. This first wave of electronic content played a major educational role, as they learned to address new ideas and concepts in handling these new objects along with new methods for their acquisition, negotiation and circulation. If this first phase made it possible to develop professional skills related to E content, today these skills will have to adapt to E books.
