Obama, Netanyahou and Israeli Public Opinion: The Slow Erosion of the Alliance Interpersonal relationships have always been a major factor in the bilateral relation between Israel and the United States. Eighteen months into their term, Netanyahou and Obama have developed a rather strained working relationship where barbed criticism is the norm.
