La presse écrite consacre de nombreux titres à l'immigration. La politisation du thème a favorisé sa « médiatisation ». Chef du Service Société au quotidien Le Monde, Robert SOLE, dans un entretien avec J. COSTA-LASCOUX, analyse les tendances actuelles du traitement de l'information sur l'immigration : « victimisation .» des immigrés, accent mis sur le racisme, dramatisation et vision hexagonale du phénomène... Robert SOLE propose une autre façon d'écrire sur l'immigration, une meilleure collaboration entre la presse et les chercheurs, un choix plus positif des thèmes de l'intégration, une réflexion sur le pouvoir des médias. The press devotes a great number of articles to the immigration problem. The politicization of this matter has made it widely covered by the mass media. The chief of the Society Service from the newspaper « Le Monde », Robert SOLE, in an interview with Jacqueline COSTA-LASCOUX, analyses the mains deals about information on immigration today. The stress is lead on immigrants' victimization, racism, dramatization and a national vision of this phenomenon. Robert SOLE proposes a different way of writing on immigration, a better cooperation between press and researchers, the more positive choice of the integration theme, and a reflection about mass media power.
