P. Grupp — Germany in BCAF, 189I-1914. The position of Bulletin du Comité de l'Afrique Française vis-à-vis Germany and her colonial policy is generally neutral or even well disposed. BCAF showslittle or no trace of contemporary French obsessions with la revanche (recovery of the lost provinces of Alsace and Lorraine). In fact, the journal shows only moderate interest towards German overseas policy, except around 1898, when France is seeking German support against Britain, and 1905, at the time of the tension over Morocco.
