N. Sindzingre—~~Plus and Minus: Concerning Female Circumcision.~~ In African cultures—possibly— and anthropological descriptions—certainly—male and female circumcisions are considered as symmetrical processes. A naïve approach should demonstrate that such is not the case, be it from a physiological and anatomic angle, from a social angle or even from an academie one, since so much more has been written about maie circumcision. This bias is bound to have a psychological and/or culture-linked explanation, probably rooted in the very nature of the relationship between men and women both in African and Western societies.
