Dans la petite ville de K***, le président du conseil municipal gifla, un jour, la fille d'un puissant notable. À partir de cette anecdote, cet article discute de l'existence d'un espace public de la parole au Maroc et souligne les ambiguïtés de la « transition démocratique » engagée à l'initiative du roi. Il montre que s'il est loisible de faire un « usage public de sa raison privée » dans l'espace du pouvoir local, les modes de dénonciation utilisés ne constituent pas à proprement parler des modes d'énonciation du politique. The Slap One day in the small town of K***, the president of the municipal counsel slapped the daughter of a powerful elite. On the basis of this anecdote, the author discusses the existence of a public space of speech in Morroco, underlining the ambiguities of the “democratic transition” initiated by the king. He shows that, while one may put their « private reason to public use » in local spaces of power, modes of denunciation do not constitute, properly speaking, modes of enunciating « the political ».
