Il met notamment en évidence l'évolution des rapports de force entre aînés et cadets qui se manifeste sous le couvert d'une active politique locale de « folklorisation culturelle » et de « revitalisation des traditions ». Football and the Mobilization of Identity Through observation of footbal [soccer] tournaments in rural Guinea, the author apprehends the dynamics of socio-political reconstitution now taking place amongst the Baga of Guinea-Conakry. He underscores, most importantly, the evolution of power relations between elders and the youth.
